The new Jewish Film Foundation was formed to broaden understanding of Jewish culture and heritage through film. A non-profit organization, the Foundation works cooperatively with presenters, filmmakers, educators and movie lovers to create a greater awareness of the vibrant Jewish film movement. Its initiatives are:
• Jewish Film World. A quarterly magazine and the only publication devoted solely to Jewish-themed films;
• Jewish Film Festival Poster Contest. An annual event that conveys the excitement of film festivals through colorful graphic designs;
• Jewish Film Rating Service. An invaluable guide that will use professional film critics and academics to grade features, documentaries, shorts and made-for-classroom fare.
• Jewish Film “Academy Awards.” A process that will culminate in “Oscars” for artistic and technical achievement.
Please support this effort. By contributing you will get a quarterly update; the satisfaction of helping promote Jewish culture; and a tax deduction as provided by law. Just click on “Donate” above or send your check to Jewish Film Foundation, PO Box 30057, Santa Barbara, CA 93130.
